Unitarian Universalist Young Adults of Maryland (UUYAM)

The UUYAM is a group for Young Adults (ages 18-35) from various Unitarian Universalist congregations in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC, including Cedar Lane, River Road, Rockville, Silver Spring, Sugarloaf, Columbia, and Paint Branch.

The UUYAM gets together for a variety of planned activities, including social events, discussions, worship services, social justice/community service opportunities, and more. These activities are usually advertised in advance through congregational newsletters and Sunday bulletins, as well as the UUYAM Web site and e-mail list. We encourage members of the UUYAM e-mail list to post to the list to invite other Young Adults to join them for more impromptu activities as well!

If you have suggestions for planned UUYAM events or activities, or are interested in getting involved in Young Adult organizing, please e-mail Megan.

Organization

We are an informal, unprogrammed group and rely on motivated people to suggest and organize activities. There is no membership fee or other process necessary to join; just show up and participate when you can!

While the UUYAM generally does not have funding to offer childcare at regular events, we love children and most UUYAM events are child friendly. If childcare is available for special events such as worship services, the announcement will provide details.
